Currently hiring for the following positions:

First Mate (FM4 – WATCH KEEPING MATE 150T-NC)

Deckhand

We are looking for additions to our team on the Pubnico Gemini. This operation involves live shellfish transport. All Crew members must operate safely at all times and abide by all Transport Canada Laws and Regulations.

Qualifications/Requirements

1st Mate – Fishing Master 4th Class or Watch Keeping Mate 150T – NC, Marine Advanced First Aid, all of which are required for the 1^st Mate Position

Deckhand -Transport Canada Certification not required, MEDs, ROC, First Aid

Job Description/Duties/Responsibilities

The main operation is on and off-loading procedures, as well as deck work.

The vessel also conducts frequent anchoring and mooring operations, fendering and tying up other boats to offload.

Deployment of stabilizer assembly.

Navigational Watch Required, which means all crew must stand a watch.

Supplying Fleet with usual provisions and running errands.

General ship housekeeping and maintenance.

Applicants must be presentable and drug & alcohol-free.

Please note that experience is not a requirement. We will train the right individuals, but experience would be a plus.
